Ian A. Massar advises and represents clients in litigation matters spanning the defense, insurance, maritime, aviation and construction sectors. His international practice focuses on claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act in federal tribunals throughout the United States. Mr. Massar also concentrates his practice on labor and employment matters as well as business litigation.Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Massar served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. During his time at the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Massar prosecuted a wide array of cases, focusing on complex long-term investigations in conjunction with state and federal law enforcement agencies.Mr. Massar graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University in 2008 and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2012. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New York, including the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
