Felicia K. Romain received a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Chinese Studies. During her time at Syracuse, she studied International Relations in Beijing, China at Tsinghua University and worked as an Editorial Assistant for a pan-Asian, multi-disciplinary professional services firm, providing legal, tax and operational advice to international corporate investors.Ms. Romain received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. During her time at Rutgers, she worked in the Education and Health Law Clinic, where she helped provide legal representation to indigent clients in special education, early intervention and school discipline matters. Ms. Romain also interned for the United States Attorney's Office in Newark, where she worked on cases that pertained to the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) and international white collar crime cases.Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Romain worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office for nearly three years.Currently, Ms. Romain focuses her practice on the representation of clients in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and Defense Base Act and in proceedings brought pursuant to the War Hazards Compensation Act, including the resolution of matters before administrative tribunals and federal courts.Ms. Romain is admitted to practice before the state courts of New York and New Jersey.
