Amirah Arif

Amirah Arif received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. She received her LL.M. from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, as a Dean’s tuition fellow. During law school, Ms. Arif was a recipient of numerous awards for academic excellence. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced in Toronto and in California, where she advised and represented insurers in a broad range of insurance matters, including coverage disputes and claims relating to product liability, property casualty, medical malpractice, health and accidents, and management liability (D&O and E&O).

Currently, Ms. Arif’s practice focuses on the representation of clients in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act and in proceedings brought pursuant to the War Hazards Compensation Act, including the resolution of matters before administrative tribunals and federal courts.

She is admitted to practice in New York, California and in Ontario, Canada.
