Michael W. King has more than ten years of experience litigating complicated and sensitive matters to resolution. Mr. King currently focuses his practice on defending claims under the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. King served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. As a prosecutor, Mr. King spent several years in the Special Victims Unit, where he investigated and prosecuted offenses involving physical or sexual abuse of children and adults. As a Deputy Attorney General, Mr. King supervised long-term, multi-agency investigations into a wide array of offenses that included narcotics offenses, document fraud, carjacking, and computer crimes.

Mr. King also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Elizabeth S. Stong in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. King graduated from Colby College in 2005, and Brooklyn Law School in 2012.

Mr. King is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
