Nikolaus Smith graduated from Hood College in 2019, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Political Science. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2023, where he served as a Lead Articles Editor for the Washington and Lee Law Review. During his time at Washington and Lee, Mr. Smith acted as a Kirgis Fellow for first-year law students and competed in the Robert J. Grey, Jr. Negotiation Competition.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable David J. Labib, J.S.C., of the New Jersey Superior Court, Hudson Vicinage.

Currently, Mr. Smith focuses his practice on the representation of clients in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act and in proceedings brought pursuant to the War Hazards Compensation Act, including the resolution of matters before administrative tribunals and federal courts.

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
