Jonathan Lim focuses his practice on defending employers and insurance carriers in claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, as extended by the Defense Base Act, and matters brought pursuant to the War Hazards Compensation Act. His work includes representing clients before administrative tribunals and, where appropriate, in federal courts.
Mr. Lim brings four years of experience appearing before administrative tribunals from his prior role as Assistant Chief Counsel with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he litigated more than 150 matters through final hearings before administrative law judges.
Mr. Lim earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University in 2005. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law in 2017, where he was both on the International Moot Court and Labor and Employment Law Trial Teams. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lim served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, as a paratrooper and combat medic.
